Training programs vary widely, but are related to occupations and industries that are in demand or growing in the Imperial County and will most likely lead to a long term job. Whether you have recently been laid off, are interested in changing your career path, or are new to the workforce, our training programs will allow you to get a new start in your career.
The first step in accessing training is to speak with a representative at any America’s Job Center of California (AJCC) Center, formerly called One Stop centers, nearest to you. The AJCC representative will help you understand how training is made available and the eligibility requirements.
Individual Training Accounts (ITAs)
Job seekers may be eligible for ITAs if they have received career services in the AJCC Center and are still unemployed, underemployed or in need of additional skills training. Job seekers are determined to be eligible by the local AJCC Center and referred to a local training provider. Participants are able to select the training program they would like to participate in subject to the availability of funds and openings. Participants are offered guidance and assistance through each step of the process.
